This product is great - Vizio is a solid brand and great value. Still, a great TV doesn't help when you've got Comcast as your signal source - as they require a digital converter box so they can earn more money from you - despite the digital tuner in the TV going to waste.

Add to this, none of the TV retailers tell you this - you have to find this out after the fact. Amazingly, the Amazon partner I bought this one from was disgruntled enough with my 'good' rating of his lack of disclosure that he called me. I give him credit for caring, but took that back the moment he complained about it not being his problem that Comcast requires a converter - and making it clear he was only concerned about earning the highest rating. I would have revised my rating of his company if he hadn't stepped over that line.

Anyway, Vizio is a great product and strong value for your money. That said, be really sure you've fully investigated what sort of signal processing you'll require given your signal source - cable, satellite, terrestrial (digital requires a special antenna) or you'll find yourself stuck just like me. I still think it'd be smart of TV retailers to TELL you this and help you think through the options up front... they'd certainly earn my loyalty/consideration/advocacy. -- Product good, cable company bad...

I purchased this TV for use in my RV that I use only on weekends during the summer. The space for the TV was small and my old traditional (non-flat panel) TV took up all of it. I decided to go for a flat panel that would take up less space.
The picture quality is excellent. It was very easy to set up. It has an HDMI connector to add my DVD player to it so I could connect the DVD with one HDMI cable. Pretty simple! The remote is intuitive and easy to use.
The only negative I have for this is that I wish I had purchased something a little larger. This is a 19" and is wider than it is tall. Movies play usually in wide-screen mode so this TV can accomodate that, but the picture is still pretty small. I would not recommend this size if the TV is going to be far from the viewer. But for my use, it works well.

The reviews seem to be right on about this TV. It has a great picture. It is easy to use and a great value. it is a nice looking television. I hooked my up to receive OTA signals and the picture quality is excellent.

However, when reviewers say that the sound volume isn't loud enough, that doesn't seem to be true. It certainly gets loud enough. The main issue with the audio is that if you have the volume at a low setting, the audio quality sounds tinny, lacking any bass. But when you turn it up louder, the bass kind of makes an appearance and it sounds relatively fine. For some reason, at low volume levels, the sound quality just loses balance. I don't know why.

But for $135, it's an outstanding value. -- Great value and picture quality. Sound quality is just okay.
