I ordered this HDTV monitor to replace an older monitor that lacked the features offered by the T220HD. I have now used the T220HD for several weeks and have been very pleased with its performance; it has worked perfectly and provided the flexibility I needed.

I am using it right now to type up this review and have nothing but praise for its operation as a monitor for my computer. I have also connected it to a Blu-ray player using the HDMI input, a DVD player using the component input, and cable TV using the RF input. The Blu-ray and DVD sound is routed through an independent stereo system which is also connected to the audio output on the computer.

The picture quality on both Blu-ray and DVD is outstanding; it is sharp and crystal clear with amazing detail. I have been entirely satisfied with the results offered by this HDTV/monitor; it has worked flawlessly from the very beginning including auto/selecting the TV channels from my cable provider.

There has been only one mild disappointment in the T220HD's connectivity and that is the audio output is only available via a Toslink connection. My stereo does not have a Toslink audio input so that means I have not been able to route the HDTV sound through my stereo system. I have done a little research on converters but have not been able to find a reasonable solution.

By way of summary I'm wildly enthusiastic about the TD220HD at this point. If it turns out to be reliable, and I have no reason to question that right now, then I'll give it the highest endorsement I can.

Got this to put in my office as I had another brand that lasted less then 2 years. Samsung in my opinion is the best in reliability and great picture. My son sells this type of equipment for a living but not this one model. He said at that price you can't go wrong. I was so impressed at the fast service and the picture I ordered a second one for the bed room. They can also be used for a HD computer monitor if you want to do that too.
