We have a 46" TV and wanted a slim stand for the space we had. This works perfectly, brings the TV up to a perfect height for viewing and doesn't take up a lot of space. It's surprisingly sturdy. I'd give it 5 stars but it was a pain to assemble. Once it was assembled, no complaints! -- Great stand!
This is an excellent item It is a stand designed for exactly what I have -- a 50" TV (Panasonic, Plasma).

I had no problem assembling it. It appears to be very strong.
